The Great Peak Food Fest

Fine food and wine on display at the Great Peak District Food FairFine food and wine on display at the Great Peak District Food FairThere's a feast in store in the Peak District this autumn, when discerning shoppers and diners can look forward to a mouth-watering menu of fine foods, arts and crafts during this year’s Great Peak District Fair and Food Fest Week.
 
Food, arts and crafts producers, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and accommodation providers in and around the Peak District will tempt the taste buds of local people and visitors alike between xxx and xxx 2008.
 
The feast will begin when up to 100 exhibitors showcase their wares during the two-day Great Peak District Fair in Buxton on 18 and 19 October. 
 
The Food Fest will be launched on the same day and will offer the opportunity to experience a week-long series of specially organised events promoting local produce. Scores of themed events tailored for all palates and pockets will keep foodies of all ages happy at many venues throughout the Peak District and Derbyshire ranging from contemporary restaurants to traditional pubs.

Printed guides will be on offer, also free of charge, at Tourist Information Centres in the Peak District from September onwards. Please note there will be a charge for most events.
